Lowes Shopping Center now Open in Southport / Oak Island

The much awaited for NEW Lowes shopping center complete with over a dozen additional stores including; a Great Cuts, Panda Chinese, Italian Eatery and other well known chain shops, is a welcomed retail complex in the Southport / Oak Island area of coastal NC.  

Only a short 5 to 7 minute drive from Winding River Plantation, Palmetto Creek and River Sea and 10 minutes from the gates of St. James Plantation, the addition of this retail shopping mega center gives these communities the one thing that has been lacking in the area, namely SHOPPING.  With an additional dozen shops opened or planned to be opened this mega shopping complex brings everything right to you doorstep in both Southport and Oak Island.

Judging by the turn out for the centers grand opening, Lowes is being well received by the locals and with the unique in-store food samplings, incredible fresh made sausage counter, fresh local sea foods, wine tastings, and new Beer Garden that allows shoppers to enjoy a "cold one" while shopping (Over a dozen different draft beers are available to choose from), growth of the surrounding communities is all but certain!

The NEW BEER Garden appears to be a BIG HIT in the Southport / Oak Island Lowes supermarket, as on opening day shoppers throughout the store were enjoying a variety of cold draft beers tucked into the neat cup holder attached to each shopping cart.
